How the monthly works.
Worth being straight about this, because it's the part most studios are vague on.
An agency will quote you four or five figures to design a site, hand it over, and leave you to host and maintain it. That's a real barrier if you're a small business, and it's why so many end up on a template they hate.
I don't charge a design fee. The build, the hosting and the upkeep are all covered by the monthly. That only works because it's an ongoing arrangement — the site is part of a service rather than a one-off product you buy outright.
And if you change your mind, there's a way out. The contract includes a provision to buy your website outright. If you decide down the line you'd rather own it and take it elsewhere, you can — ask and I'll quote it. You're not trapped, you're just not paying for it all up front.

There's really no design fee?
Correct. You don't pay anything up front to have the site designed and built — it's covered by the monthly, along with hosting and maintenance. The trade is that it's an ongoing arrangement rather than a one-off purchase.
What if I want to own the site outright?
There's a buyout provision in the contract. If you decide you'd rather take the website and run it yourself, or move it to someone else, you can — get in touch and I'll quote the buyout. It's a real option, not a technicality.
Can I make changes myself?
Yes, to the things that actually change. Every site comes with a simple admin panel for opening hours, upcoming events, prices, staff — whatever moves in your business. There's no CMS to learn and changes go live immediately.
What counts as an “update”?
Anything beyond what your admin panel covers: new pages, layout changes, new sections, seasonal redesigns. On the $150 plan those are billed at $50/hr, quoted before I start. On the $350 plan they're unlimited — send them over and they get done.
What happens if the site goes down?
I find out through uptime monitoring, usually before you do, and I fix it. That's included — there's no separate support charge and no ticket queue.
How long does a site take?
It depends on how many pages you need and how quickly the content comes together, but small business sites are typically a matter of weeks rather than months. You'll get a timeline in writing with your scope.
Do you work with businesses outside New Hampshire and Massachusetts?
Yes. I'm based in New Hampshire and most clients are in NH and MA, but the work happens over email and calls — location has never been the limiting factor. Past clients run from Massachusetts to California.
Why is it billed every 28 days rather than monthly?
It keeps the billing cycle consistent — every invoice covers exactly four weeks, so a short month never means a short service period. Your billing date shifts slightly through the year as a result.
